It seems that boys and cars go together like fish and water. If you have a boy that likes to draw, chances are he’s drawing cars, at least some of the time. (Note: I know that girls can draw cars, too. But if a boy likes to draw, most of the time cars will be among his favorite subjects.”)
Anyway, if you haven’t guessed by now, today’s post is all about drawing cars. I’ve pulled together a number of tutorial websites that will provide some ideas for your children, no matter what their age or level of experience. So get out those art supplies and let’s draw some cars!
For Younger Kids: An easy step-by-step car drawing.
This is kind of a cartoonish looking car, but it uses a lot of basic shapes and will be easier for younger children to draw. It’s a nice, step-by-step approach.

A cartoon car and a more realistic (but still easy) approach
This page over at Wikihow has two more step-by-step tutorials. The first is for a more realistic-looking effect. What I like about this one, is that it works from basic shapes and shows how to slowly refine them into a very nice drawing. This page also has a cartoony-type drawing that will be good for the younger kids.

A cartoonish (but still cool) car drawing
Here’s another page from Wikihow that has kind of a hybrid drawing. It’s on the cartoonish side, but it’s got some style. Middle graders should like this one. Easy to draw, but looks cool.
