See the Light Weekly Workshop:
Watercolor Starry Sky (Pt. 1)

In Part 1 of Watercolor Starry Sky, you’ll learn how to do a background “sunset” wash with watercolor, as in the photo below:

Read on for a list of supplies you’ll need to complete this project. If you’d like to learn more about watercolors, check out our Art Projects DVD: Peaceful Seas:

To complete this project, you’ll need:

Watercolor paper (5″x7″)
Blue Painter’s Tape
Watercolors
A flat brush (for wetting the paper)
A large round brush (for applying the watercolor)

Here is what I used in this video:

Watercolor Paper (In this project I’m using Arches 300lb Cold Press.)

Watercolors (You can use any watercolors, but for this project I’m using  Yarka Semi-moist Pans.)

Brushes:

3″ Bristle Brush

Synthetic squirrel round brush – Size 24

Watercolor art pallet with paint brush. Watercolor Workshop: Watercolor Starry Sky (Part 1) See the Light Art
